Job Description
Join Exadel as a Middle Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and enhance backend applications for a major Brazilian financial institution. As a key team member, you will work on performance, scalability, and resilience using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus, while also participating in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering with a backend focus
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus
- Mandatory AWS experience, including: SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway
- Experience with microservices and distributed architectures
- Knowledge of observability practices (metrics, logging, and tracing)
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum)
- Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor or developer copilots
