Job Description
Excel Academy is seeking a Middle School Learning Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will deliver effective instructional support lessons to students, serve as an inclusion teacher as needed, and work closely with general education teachers to differentiate curriculum.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Rhode Island certified in Middle Grades Special Education 5-8 or Secondary Special Education 6-12
- Minimum of two years' teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred
- Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or a language commonly spoken by our students and families at an advanced level
- First generation college graduates
- Having grown up low-income
