Job Description
Excelitas Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive supply chain initiatives, foster strong cross-functional alignment, and optimize supplier performance. The role will be responsible for procuring materials, identifying new and existing suppliers, and managing open purchase orders.
Requirements
- Works closely and collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers, Document, Inventory and Quality control groups
- Identifies new and existing suppliers capable of meeting materials specifications, quality requirements and lead times
- Requests quotations, negotiates pricing and delivery schedules
- Facilitates contract and T&C negotiations
- Maintains purchase order status and shipment tracking information
- Proactively reports potential shortages and availability issues to project managers, manufacturing & planning organizations
- Supports other members of the Purchasing team as needed
