Excelitas is a leading technology company specializing in photonics innovations. We are seeking a System Engineer to join our team in Göttingen, Germany. As a System Engineer, you will play a central technical role in development projects, perform requirement analyses, and design technical solutions.

Requirements

• Successful diploma, master, or doctoral degree in physics or an engineering discipline with a focus on optics
• Professional experience in a comparable industrial development environment
• Interdisciplinary technical foundation knowledge and advanced system understanding
• Deep knowledge in the areas of (technical) optics, laser technology, measurement technology, and optical device manufacturing
• Proficiency in and application of system technical working methods (e.g. V-Model)
• Experience with software tools for simulation and analysis (e.g. Zemax, Comsol, Fred, Minitab, Mathematica, Python)
• Engaged and open personality, result-oriented, independent working style
• Team ability and experience working in project teams
• Communication ability with international partners and customers
