Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is mandatory.
- Minimum 12+ years project engineering, design and construction experience in surface and underground mining.
- Experience in underground mining design.
- Experienced with business development and proposals required
- Design and construction experience in heavy industry.
- Experience in structural inspections and assessments.
- Strong hands-on experience in the analysis and design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, building and heavy equipment foundations preferably in mining.
- Proficiency in application of NBC, OBC and other relevant codes and standards.
- Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of mining-related processes a definite asset.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for Structural Analysis and Design.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary BIM environment.
- Strong computer-oriented skills (MS Office products, MathCAD etc.).
- Organized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to function with minimal supervision.
- Multi-tasking and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments.
- Experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projects.
- Must be a team player and can work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking
