Medical Assistant (OB/GYN)

Austin Regional Clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant (OB/GYN) to support provider practice by assisting with direct patient care duties, including patient call backs and refill requests. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months or more experience as a Medical Assistant, or meet one of the alternative qualifications. Must be certified as a Medical Assistant and have a current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.

Requirements

• Rooms patients, takes and documents vital signs and prepares patients for provider exam.
• Administers medication under physician’s direction and within the scope of practice as demonstrated by completion of training and testing.
• Performs diagnostic testing such as EKGs, audiograms, typanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings as instructed and documents in EPIC EMR.
• Maintains supply inventory levels and cleans and maintains medical equipment.
• Follows clinic protocols and adheres to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
