Systems Administration Manager

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a Systems Administration Manager to lead and actively contribute to our Systems Administration team. This role is ideal for a highly experienced systems administrator who enjoys setting technical direction, mentoring others through example, and remaining deeply involved in the design and operation of production infrastructure.

Requirements

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of systems administrators
• Provide day-to-day people management
• Establish priorities and balance workloads
• Maintain highly available network storage servers using ZFS, NFS, CIFS and Ceph
• Deploy web applications and manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Configure network switches, firewalls, and Internet gateways
• Write scripts to automate tasks and integrate services using Python and Bash
• Utilize monitoring infrastructure to proactively detect outages and respond to alerts
