Job Description
The Principal QA Engineer will work closely with design, marketing, and other test engineers to translate feature requirements into test cases and automate testing. This role requires a strong understanding of layer-3 and layer-2 protocols, including Ethernet, OSPF, and VPN technologies, as well as experience with scripting, testing tools, and bug tracking systems. The successful candidate will be able to quickly execute testing assignments and provide feedback on test results.
Requirements
- 15+ Years of Experience
- Strong Data Networking Concepts
- Experience with Layer-3 Protocols (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q, 802.3ah, 802.1ag)
- Experience with VxLAN, L2VPN and L3VPN technologies
- Strong Knowledge of product verification methodologies
- Experience in performance and throughput testing
- Experience with Ixia, Smartbits, STC and packet sniffers
- Experience in scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, Tk)
- Experience with Quality Center
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
