Job Description
We are looking to hire a dynamic, creative, and resourceful candidate for ExxonMobil’s seismic imaging research group in Spring, Texas. Candidates will work in a research team to develop new and innovative solutions to challenging imaging and inversion problems in a variety of geologic settings.
Requirements
- Masters or PhD in broad science and engineering discipline
- Demonstrated record of technical problem solving and innovation in seismic imaging and inversion research
- Flexibility and initiative to quickly adapt to changing business and production application needs
- Strong programming skills in HPC environment (e.g., C, C++, Python, Fortran, MPI, OpenMP, CUDA)
- Knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques, seismic data processing, seismic wave propagation, digital signal processing, numerical modeling and inversion, and optimization
