Sr. Automation Engineer

ExxonMobil is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to join the Permian Basin engineering organization in Midland, TX. The successful candidate will focus on continuous improvement of operating assets through PLC automation improvement and new technology opportunities.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with significant automation, instrumentation, controls, and electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
• Strong analytic and communication skills
• Management of third-party engineering firms
• Vendor technical qualification support activities
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify instrumentation, medium/low voltage electrical equipment and control systems related issues
• Demonstrated work experience in Upstream Oil & Gas Production support
• Significant experience in providing process improvements through automation applications and hardware
