Static Equipment Engineer - Piping & Valves

We are looking for an experienced Static Equipment Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The role will provide technical services to operating units, manufacturing plants, capital projects, and research and development organizations.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil & gas projects (e.g., FPSO, FLNG, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG) or related industries
• Deep understanding of Piping Design and Piping Layout (e.g., preparation of plot plan, piping layout, pipe support selection, 3D Model Review, Material Specification, Vendor Technical Evaluation)
• Knowledgeable of ASME B31.3 pressure thickness design and ASME B16.5 flange ratings and material groups. General awareness of full B31.3 scope
• Basic pipe stress analysis and B31.3 compliance (e.g., sustained stress, thermal expansion, and nozzle loads)
• Basic understanding and knowledge of valve types (e.g., gate, globe, check, ball) and associated standards (e.g., ASME B16.34, API 598, API 600)
• Proficient in utilizing piping design software (e.g., CAESAR-II, NAVIS, SP3D)
• Onshore and offshore facilities design; along with direct experience working onsite in oil & gas facilities
• Demonstrated ability to interface with other engineering disciplines, such as Process, Rotating Equipment, Materials, etc.
• Experienced in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and piping components
• Has a basic understanding of ASME SEC VIII Division 1 and ASME PCC-2 structure and content
• General awareness in pressure vessel design, fabrication, repair, operation and related software (e.g., PVElite, Compress)
• Understands factors influencing the mechanical design and operation of common pressure vessels (e.g., drums, towers, reactors, heat exchangers), including impacts associated with transient operation
• Strong organizational, management, and technical judgment skills
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
