Surgical Technician

West Georgia Eye Care Center is a growing, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice seeking a Surgical Technician to assist surgeons and nurses in rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Assists in preparing the operating room for the planned procedure
• Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies
• Sets up sterile operating field with instruments and supplies necessary for that procedure
• Observes strict aseptic technique throughout the entire procedure and reports break-in technique to the circulating nurse and the surgeon
• Passes instruments, supplies, and sutures to the surgeon and assistants as needed
• Removes all instruments, needles, sponges, and other supplies from the operative field
