Senior Software Engineer

Faculty is a company that uses AI to transform the performance of its customers. The company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Defence team, which focuses on building human-centered AI solutions for the defence sector. The role involves leading backend and edge/IoT engineering, mentoring other engineers, and collaborating with data scientists to operationalize agentic software and advanced AI tooling.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in application development and a solid understanding of modern system architecture and design.
• Proven track record of shipping code used by paying customers in both Python and a compiled language.
• Highly skilled in DevOps practices, including GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and managing applications in production environments.
• Experience with agentic software development and a passion for understanding and solving complex customer problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and commercial stakeholders and translate complex requirements into robust engineering solutions.
