Senior Analyst, Commercial Lending

Fairstone Bank is seeking a Senior Analyst, Commercial Lending to assess, evaluate, and analyze investment proposals for commercial mortgage transactions. The successful candidate will assist the Director in analyzing and providing written recommendations on investment proposals, maintain and evaluate consistent risk assessments, and assist in the management of the commercial pipeline and reporting.

Requirements

• University degree in business, economics, or related discipline
• Additional relevant accreditation(s)/ certification(s) or their pursuit are considered assets
• 3-5 years in commercial mortgage lending / underwriting
• Background in alternative lending an asset
• In depth understanding of commercial real estate and mortgages
• Able to multi-task and flourish in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
• Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment
• Excellent written / verbal communication and professional maturity
• Strong organizational, time-management and analytical skills to work effectively within established guidelines
• Understands Home Trust Company’s lending criteria and risk appetite
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
