Senior Designer - Home and Soft Goods

FAM Brands is seeking a Senior Designer to lead the design and development of soft goods and home products from initial concept through production. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in product design, particularly within textiles and soft goods, and a discerning eye for trends, color, and materials.

Requirements

• Lead the design and development of soft goods and home products from initial concept through production
• Conduct comprehensive market and trend research to inform design direction
• Create mood boards, sketches, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas to internal teams and stakeholders
• Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs to guide sample development and production
• Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives
• Engage with domestic and international vendors to communicate design specifications, review samples, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Participate in sample reviews and fittings, providing constructive feedback to refine products to meet quality and design standards
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, adhering to timelines and ensuring all deliverables are met
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior designers and design assistants, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
• Ensure all designs are consistent with the brand’s aesthetic and effectively meet the needs of our target customer base
