Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist with clinical procedures, and performing various aspects of patient visits. This includes taking impressions, applying topical agents, and removing post-extraction dressings. The RDA may also perform advanced duties under the supervision of a dentist, such as mouth-mirror inspections and placement of temporary sedative dressings.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of California
• Completion of a Radiation Safety Course
• Valid California driver's license
• Coronal polish certificate (recommended)
• Ability to prepare complex documents in Microsoft Word
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
