The Social Worker provides high-quality, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed services to families and children in the Dutchess County Family Education Program (DC FEP). The Social Worker works in close collaboration with the Case Manager to provide families with in-home parenting skills, safety assessments, case management support, referrals, resources and on call- support to achieve goals of safety and reduce risk of out-of-home placement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field with two years relevant experience in providing social services.
- Home-based programming experience preferred.
- CASAC credential and/or advanced coursework in social work or equivalent is a plus.
- Good communication and counseling skills.
- Knowledge of community and public agencies.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Commitment to cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed practices.
- Ability to frequently and efficiently travel to client homes and community meetings.
