Job Description
The Program Lead is responsible for preparing and implementing the curriculum and activities under the direction of the Site Supervisor and Multi-Site Director. They supervise groups of school-age children, ensuring their individual needs are met while promoting safety and the YMCA's core values. The position operates at various sites in Salem, Keizer, and the greater communities, Monday-Friday with a focus on 6:30am-9am and 2:00-6pm school hours, and offering additional hours on certain days.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain hands-on Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certification
- Ability to obtain Food Handler’s Card
- Ability to pass a background check
- AND ONE of the following: associate degree at a college or university in any child education or development program, OR 3+ months of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Childcare Center or comparable group care program, OR at least 60 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Childcare Center or comparable group care program.
