Staff Engineer, Restraints

Faraday Future is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, Restraints to lead the design, development, and testing of advanced restraint systems, including airbags, seat belts, and other occupant protection technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automotive safety systems and a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in automotive engineering, with at least 5 years focused on restraint systems
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects from concept to production
• Hands-on experience with supporting crash testing, simulation tools, and CAE analysis
• Expertise in restraint system design, including airbags, seat belts, pretensioners, and load limiters
• Proficiency in CAD software for component design
• Strong knowledge of vehicle crash dynamics and occupant kinematics
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards
