Associate Veterinarian (part time with option for full time)

The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to multiple species in collaboration with the Lead Veterinarian, Veterinary Technicians, caregivers and support staff. The Associate Veterinarian utilizes a multidisciplinary team focused on excellence in holistic animal care and providing environments conducive to positive welfare.

Requirements

• Active Veterinary State License (New York state)
• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Commitment to approaching care from a holistic animal welfare perspective and providing the highest quality of care to animal residents
• Proven skills in conventional medicine, diagnostics, and healthcare record keeping standards
• Varied veterinary experience welcome. Large animal and avian experience required (specifically: cattle, goat, sheep, pig).
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple projects with creativity and flexibility
• Confidence and ability to work independently, while maintaining consistent communication with the support team
