Job Description
Farren International is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver to provide excellent customer service and complete deliveries within the Connecticut area. The role involves navigating various states, adhering to schedules, and ensuring safe operation of the vehicle. Responsibilities include route determination, equipment operation, compliance with regulations, and documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of DOT regulations.
Requirements
- Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Must understand DOT regulations
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of two years of truck driving experience
- Rigging experience a plus
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing for a minimum of two years
- Must possess current DOT Health Card
- Clean MVR
- Physical Demands and Essential Duties: Prolonged sitting/driving (up to eleven hours per day), lifting up 70 lbs, reaching overhead, and ability to move 2,000 lbs pallet of freight.
- Local drivers may be required to stay out overnight.
