Video Producer

We are seeking a versatile and ambitious Video Producer to join our award-winning visuals team. The ideal candidate is a skilled video journalist who is as comfortable editing short-form news videos on deadline as they are producing their own long-form narrative over several months.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a videographer or photojournalist
• Valid driver's license and registered vehicle to travel to assignments
• Fluency with video and editing software, including Canva, PhotoShop, After Effects and/or other relevant tools
• Proficiency in capturing and editing audio for video and podcasts
• Experience recording and editing video on deadline
• Understanding of advanced camera operations as well as extensive knowledge of lighting different types of sets
• Proficiency in writing video captions, with an emphasis on speed, accuracy and a command of grammar and AP style
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a co-collaborator with fellow team members, maintaining open communication
• Firm understanding of journalistic ethics
