Job Description
Fenwick & West is seeking a technology advisor or patent agent for its life sciences patent practice in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, or Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. (or M.D. with research experience) in Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field and superb technical, written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses
- Analyze patents and scientific papers to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions
- Participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO
- Be a registered USPTO patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam
