Provide pro-active clinical support to clinicians, assist with exam room setup, and meet organizational goals. Welcome patients, prepare them for exams, and support patient care delivery.
Requirements
- Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes;
- Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises;
- Educates patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions.
- Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
- Generates revenues by recording billing information of services rendered; completing insurance forms; responding to insurance and other third-party inquiries.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventory stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Assists provider with prescribed medication/samples from clinic medication outlet.
- Review and planning of provider scheduling with LPN Care Coordinator. · Assist LPN Care Coordinator with referrals, tracking of weekly labs, radiology, EKG’s. Log all positive HCG’s, abnormal cytology reports in appropriate logs.
- Assist provider with minor surgeries and procedures.
- Give Immunizations and injections per provider directive.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Services Director.
