Job Description
Filo Mortgage, L.L.C. seeks a Senior Mortgage Underwriter with strong experience underwriting VA, FHA, and conventional loans, and a thorough knowledge of agency and government underwriting guidelines. The position is fully remote and is a full-time, regular W-2 position.
Requirements
- Analyze information from multiple sources to perform a thorough evaluation and assessment of each borrower including credit, income, and assets
- Thorough knowledge of agency and government underwriting guidelines
- Detail-oriented team player who can not only decision a loan but work with teammates on ways to structure loans to get approvals and minimize risk
- 5 years of mortgage related and underwriting experience
- Two or Four year college degree or completion of specialized course of study in business, finance or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Deep knowledge of agency underwriting guidelines
- Experience analyzing pay stubs, W-2s, tax returns, and profit and loss statements
- Experience with DU and LP
- Strong analytical, auditing, research, and decision-making abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
