Acting Deputy Editor, House & Home

The Financial Times is looking for an Acting Deputy Editor of House & Home – FT Weekend’s property and lifestyle section. The role involves commissioning and editing global long form features, interviews and columns from a team of freelance writers, as well as writing features and contributing to the section’s weekly newsletter.

Requirements

• Extensive experience commissioning and editing timely and imaginative stories
• Knowledge of mainstream and luxury international property markets, supported by a network of contacts
• An interest in architecture, sustainability, interiors and gardening
• Experience curating and chairing live panel events
• The ability to work collaboratively and with agility in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of newspaper production processes, and the ability to help steer and maintain systematic operations
