Diagnose, repair, and maintain refuse collection vehicles and related equipment. Perform skilled work on hydraulic systems, electric systems and heavy-duty truck components, packer bodies, automated side loaders, and lift systems.
Requirements
- Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, emissions/after treatment systems, and heavy-duty truck components
- Experience with hydraulic systems, including compactors, packer bodies, and automated lift systems preferred
- Familiarity with PTO (Power Take-Off) systems and refuse truck operations a plus
- Valid Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement, or the ability to obtain within 90 days
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and inspections
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems efficiently
- ASE and/or EVT certifications are a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
