Software QA Specialist-Remote

First Advantage is seeking a Software QA Specialist to join our fast-paced and collaborative Quality Assurance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong manual testing experience who is passionate about high-quality software delivery and enjoys partnering closely with product and development teams.

Requirements

• Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications and backend services.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality and ensure quality.
• Identify, document, and track defects through established bug tracking tools, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Validate bug fixes, conduct re-testing, and support release cycles.
• Provide clear reporting of test results and quality metrics to QA leadership and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing documentation, and best practices.
• Provide input to the development team on testability, usability, and quality improvements.
• Support release readiness activities to ensure all components meet quality standards prior to deployment.
