Job Description
Works with the Pharmacy Technicians to make sure medication is dispensed per protocols, educates patients on medication, and indigent program rebates along with third party insurance completed correctly.
Requirements
- Screens, checks and fills prescriptions, including the counseling of each patient.
- Responsible for dispensing, record-keeping and reports.
- Works with the Director of Pharmacy Services in the training and education of pharmacy students.
- Maintains current knowledge of drug therapy.
- Consults with physicians on patient medical history.
