Metallurgist, Nickel Processing

Responsible for providing metallurgical guidance, conducting production support test work, and ensuring metallurgical key performance indicators are available and analyzed on a daily basis to improve plant performance.

Requirements

• Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, understanding and developing solutions to emergent problems and opportunities.
• Leading the identification, detailed planning and high-quality execution of metallurgical projects to optimise the process plant performance.
• Maintaining HSE standards and ensuring strict compliance within the nickel plant.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting to the operations team to achieve plant production targets.
• Monitoring and reporting on short term metallurgical events and implementing control strategies.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Facilitating data acquisition, warehousing, accessibility, distribution, and analytics.
• Controlling and reducing operational costs.
