Job Description
The Procurement and Logistics Officer is responsible for sourcing goods and services, making commercial recommendations, and ensuring timely supply and delivery to enhance efficient operations. The role requires expeditious following through and closing out of all requests/queries from End-Users, Suppliers, Logistics, and Finance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in the same or similar position in a busy or large-scale organisation
- A minimum of one-year experience in procurement of project related works and services
- Experience in dealings with local and international suppliers and freight forwarders
- A basic understanding of warehousing, inventory management, and remote site supply chain management
- Knowledge in basic workplace health and safety
- Full Grade Twelve Certificate
- Minimum of a degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- Member of Zambia institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
