Supply Chain Buyer - Akron, OH

We are seeking a Supply Chain Buyer to collaborate with operational buying manager and category specialists to ensure transactional activities are completed efficiently. The Buyer will support category strategies and process transactional purchases requests.

Requirements

• Creating and processing a high volume of purchase orders (POs) and change orders
• Ensuring materials and services are ordered in a timely manner to meet operational needs
• Maintaining accurate contracts and POs in compliance with SC policies and procedures
• Developing knowledge and collaborating with category management to refine best practices
• Supporting strategic sourcing strategy to drive TCO Savings for operational spend
• Leveraging technology, analytics, and tools to drive savings for operational purchases
• Analyzing, evaluating, and optimizing sourcing and contracting methods with category specialists
• Communicating with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve issues
• Implementing and managing multiple RFQ’s while ensuring proposals are presented efficiently and accurately
• Collaborating with plant managers to determine material requirements based on company standards
