Patient Financial Advocate responsible for screening patients for eligibility assistance programs, providing information, and reports to client contacts. Requires high school diploma, 1-3 years of medical experience, and basic computer skills. Requirements

• Review hospital census to identify self-pay patients
• Screen patients for State, County, and/or Federal eligibility assistance programs
• Initiate application process bedside when possible
• Record patient information on designated in-house screening sheet
• Maintain a positive working relationship with hospital staff
• Report important occurrences to management
• Maintain confidentiality of account information
