Senior Quality Engineer (Performance Testing, JMeter, Automation) â Capital Market Domain (AI Testing Additional Advantage) responsible for defining and executing comprehensive performance and non-functional testing strategies for an industry-leading private equity fund accounting and investor management platform.
Requirements
- Lead performance testing requirement analysis, performance strategy definition, and non-functional test planning across load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test suites using JMeter, covering web, API, and backend services.
- Analyze performance metrics such as response time, throughput, latency, error rates, CPU/memory utilization, and identify system bottlenecks.
- Work closely with architects and developers to define performance benchmarks, SLAs, and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate performance test execution into CI/CD pipelines where applicable to enable early detection of performance regressions.
- Use structured LLM prompts to assist in generating performance test scripts, test scenarios, workload models, and edge-case simulations (added advantage).
- Conduct baseline, comparative, and trend analysis to assess performance improvements or degradations across releases.
- Build strong understanding of application architecture and end-to-end client workflows in the BFSI domain, including transaction-heavy systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, SREs, and Infrastructure teams to identify performance risks early and recommend optimizations.
- Design and prepare performance test data, including correlation, parameterization, and data volume strategies.
- Drive all phases of performance test execution, analysis, reporting, and sign-off, providing clear recommendations and actionable insights.
- Support limited functional or automation testing activities where needed, leveraging exposure to automation frameworks.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint, release, and readiness goals.
- Implement and continuously improve performance engineering practices, documentation, dashboards, and best practices.
- Mentor junior team members on JMeter, performance analysis techniques, and non-functional testing fundamentals.
- Ensure performance quality gates are met before production releases and that regressions are proactively prevented.
