We are FIS, a technology company that powers the world's economy. We are seeking a Software Engineer Sr Lead to join our Event Broker team, which builds and supports enterprise Kafka infrastructure for real-time event delivery across banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with a strong background in Apache Kafka, Python, and Unix/Linux.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in Python, and Unix/Linux
- Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, and/or MongoDB
- Strong SQL and database design skills
- Experience building RESTful or event-based services
- Familiarity with automation processes and tools (e.g., JUnit)
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
