Job Description
The Preconstruction Engineer supports the planning and execution of projects during the preconstruction phase, contributing to accurate estimating, competitive subcontractor procurement, and effective project setup. This role collaborates with the Preconstruction Manager, development, and operations teams to develop project budgets, define scopes of work, and support front-end project planning efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related fields
- Minimum Five (5) years of experience in construction estimating, procurement, project engineering, or project management
- Strong understanding of industry standard cost structuring (CSI/Masterformat, Uniformat)
- Experience with estimating software and bid management platforms (TradeTapp, BuildingConnected, Autodesk Forma Estimate or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
