Product Development Materials Engineer

At Fisher & Paykel Appliances, we are looking for a Materials Engineer / Materials Scientist to join our Product Development Materials Team, responsible for leading material selection and validation, supporting product development, and collaborating with engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in materials science, metallurgy, or a related field
• At least 5 years' experience in metals or metal-processing industries
• Practical knowledge of metal coatings, materials performance, and failure analysis
• Experience in home appliances or similar manufacturing environments (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams
