Senior Software Engineer

Fivetran is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cloud Data Warehouse database connector team. The role involves designing and implementing features and performance improvements in the Fivetran core to create highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.

Requirements

• Typically, 5+ years of software development experience in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated passion to learn how large-scale software engineering projects work
• Lead and mentor junior team members
• Has developed an ability to write, test, and deploy well-structured and performant code
• Experience developing data-processing systems, preferably for an external-facing product
• Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal) in English
• Proficient level programming in an object-oriented / systems language such as Java, Python, C# etc.
• Experienced with end-to-end systems profiling, performance, and optimization
• Experience troubleshooting problems with existing code and systems
• Experienced working in a cloud environment architecture utilizing AWS, GCP, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar technologies
