Database Administrator (Postgres SQL)

flatexDEGIRO is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in administering relational databases. The role involves administration, maintenance, and optimization of databases, ensuring data integrity and security, and collaborating with developers to optimize database queries and schemas.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in administering relational databases
• Solid experience with SQL and database design
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies as well as performance tuning in PostgreSQL
• Experience with Ansible is a plus
• Linux knowledge is an advantage
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) is a plus
• Strong team spirit, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to work
• Excellent communication skills in English
