We are seeking a purchasing professional to join our team at our Elgin site. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end ordering process—from inquiry to invoice clarification—and ensure supply continuity and on-time delivery of assigned commodities.
Requirements
- Managing material requirements planning (MRP) for purchased materials
- Creating and following up on purchase order acknowledgements
- Scheduling purchased materials for optimal delivery performance, cost, quality, and inventory levels
- Coordinating solutions to quality-related issues
- Implementing sourcing strategies from the Commodity Management team
- Executing demand and engineering changes in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate and current information in the ERP system
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Resolving accounts payable discrepancies
- Sharing and applying procurement best practices
- Collaborating closely with internal and external cross-functional teams, including suppliers, strategic purchasing, production planning, warehouse, and quality
