Job Description
The Machinist is responsible for creating quality parts on various machines according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. The role involves setup, programming, and operation of CNC machinery, EDM wire machinery, and general shop equipment.
Requirements
- Study and interpret drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications, and sample parts
- Set up and program CNC machinery and EDM wire machinery
- Ensure equipment operations are at accepted standards
- Provide verification dimensions of machined parts
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining
- Fit and assemble machined metal parts
- Perform other duties as required
