Maintenance Technician I - 3rd Shift

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general installation, maintenance, and repairs of all company machinery and equipment within the facility.

Requirements

• Five years in a mechanical/electrical capacity as a tradesman or; Five years related industrial repair/maintenance experience.
• Highly motivated; able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and/or in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Ability to independently seek out and suggest downtime reduction activities and projects.
• Exhibit responsibility, flexibility and dependability.
• Ability to perform small repairs (e.g. caulking, replacing washers, and replacing light fixtures).
• Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to interpret and implement Company policies and procedures.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to communicate effectively in both verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) is a valuable asset.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
