Job Description
The Tool Maker will work under minimal supervision to construct, repair, and lay out shop tools, gauges, fixtures, jigs, and dies according to blueprints and specifications. This position is for our 2nd shift.
Requirements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools
- Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
- Operates machines such as lathes, drill presses, punch presses, shapers and grinders
- Repairs and reworks dies, tools, jigs, etc., per blueprints/engineering drawings/sketches/verbal instructions
