Florida Atlantic University is seeking eight (8) Law Enforcement Officers to ensure the safety and security of its campus community. The role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of law enforcement experience
- Florida Department of Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Certificate
- Must meet the requirements of Chapter 943 of the Florida Statutes
- Must be at least 19 years of age and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work in stressful and sometimes hazardous conditions
- Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle and emergency equipment
- Ability to grasp criminal and traffic laws and to make sound decisions
- Ability to exercise restraint and tact with all members of the University community and the general public
- Ability to physically and mentally satisfy state and departmental training requirements
- Ability to effectively work without direct supervision
