Postdoctoral Fellow Application of Machine Learning and Robotics

The Postdoctoral Fellow will lead the development of algorithms, software, and hardware to extend the current Hybrid Aerial Underwater Robotic System (HAUCS) framework, conducting field experiments, preparing data reports, and publishing results. Opportunities to work on other related projects include applying AI to solve underwater vision problems and Next Generation Sensor Systems for Natural Oceanic Bioluminescence Assessments.

Requirements

• Doctorate in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or related area
• Team player willing to train junior scientists
• Expertise in robotics and unmanned aerial vehicle development
• Comprehension of common machine learning algorithms and image analysis
• Independent, self-motivated, well-organized, and critical thinker
