Job Description
The Veteran Benefits Enrollment Coordinator II provides operational and student-facing support for military-affiliated students utilizing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DOD) educational benefits. The Coordinator provides comprehensive one-on-one guidance to veterans and their dependents, assists with enrollment and registration troubleshooting, supports compliance efforts, and collaborates with campus partners to promote student success.
Requirements
- Eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- VA Certification or ability to obtain 30 days after hire.
- Five years experience in higher education.
- Experience working in financial aid or as a VA certifying official.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations governing veterans’ benefits and financial aid compliance.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive student information.
