Manager Pharmacy

Manager Pharmacy responsible for management and operation of the Department of Pharmacy, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Hires and maintains qualified employees with appropriate licensure
• Coordinates daily activities of the pharmacy department
• Provides written/verbal response to drug information requests
• Cultivates good working relations with Medical Staff and other department personnel
• Coordinates and participates in initial training/orientation of new pharmacists and technicians
• Performs mandatory review of employee performance
• Participates in formulary review process
• Coordinates reporting of Adverse Drug Reaction reports
• Ensures compliance with State and regulatory agencies
• Maintains hospital/pharmacy licensure
• Oversees pharmacy inventory and stock levels
• Oversees clinical pharmacy functions
• Works with Nurse Managers to ensure efficient distribution, storage, and security of pharmaceuticals
• Attends and participates in hospital committees
• Reviews departmental systems and effects changes as needed
• Monitors workflow and promotes harmonious working environment
• Follows policies and procedures in the Environment of Care
