Performs radiologic exams and procedures, ensures patient care is performed in an efficient manner, and maintains current knowledge of radiologic equipment operation.

Requirements

• Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records and health care providers
• Confirms patient identity and gathers information pertinent to determining appropriate type and dosage of contrast agent
• Provides pre and post procedural explanation and instruction to patient and/or patient's family
• Ensures all work areas and equipment are clean, disinfected and presentable
• Takes appropriate precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patient and themselves
• Evaluates radiographic images for diagnostic quality and correct images
