Radiology Technologist PRN - Our Lady of the Angels

The Reg Rad Tech 1 arranges patients for radiological examinations, produces radiographs (x-rays)/ images, and uses pre-established imaging protocols to perform safe operation of imaging equipment.

Requirements

• Exhibits working knowledge of all Diagnostic Radiology equipment and procedures.
• Performs all procedures in an efficient and timely manner without compromising quality or the mission statement.
• Coordinates Radiology schedule with other areas to prevent patient waiting.
• Uses PPE (personal protective equipment) when appropriate.
• Is aware of potential chemical hazards and how to access MSDS information.
• Uses good body mechanics when moving patients.
• Adheres to infection control practices.
• Routinely performs proper tube warm-up for all x-ray equipment.
• Reports all equipment problems to chief technologist and places service call through call center.
• Complete Exam Data Entry fields on all exams.
• Documents all pertinent information, i.e., patient history, tech initials, other duties as assigned.
• Is available to work a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24 hour coverage of the Radiology Department.
• Assist in other areas of the department as work load permits.
• Keeps areas well stocked at all times.
• Consistently performs 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values, Service and Quality.
