Registered Respiratory Therapist 1

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will participate in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. This role involves initiating and managing life support systems, performing therapies such as bronchodilator therapy and catheterization, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The therapist must function with limited supervision, relying on their education and physician guidance.

Requirements

• Observes and adheres to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Efficiently records patient care data.
• Consults with physicians concerning respiratory care procedures.
• Prepares, initiates, and monitors patient respiratory equipment.
• Ensures proper operation of respiratory equipment.
• Assesses patient condition and recommends appropriate therapy.
• Maintains competency in arterial puncture and ventilation procedures.
• Serves on departmental/hospital committees.
